Within the context of the Food and Nutrition Business Association Protocol signed between Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Uludag University on 23.01.2012, Besas Bakery Products Research and Production Center has a closed area of 1000 square meters with an investment of 3.000.000 TL  so it  has an analysis laboratory, roll bread laminating line, rotary furnaces, matador furnaces, resting room.
 In addition to this, it also has ancillary units consisting of boiler room, generator, chiller group, cold air storage, bread making machine (könig), mobile mixer boiler, electrical furnaces, mobile mixer, fermentation room, weighing silo and ancillary equipments. 
It has started its production activities on the date of 11.03.2014 with the most advanced machinery and equipment of today. This facility has a production capacity of 7,500 rolled breads per hour.
BESAS ARGE Facility has the most modern machinery and equipment technical qualification which enables the academic staff and students of Uludag  University  to conduct researches and experiments on bread and bakery products.
 There are laboratory facilities for chemical and microbiological analyzes on bread and bakery products. 
Thus, it is aimed that the students will be able to create their internship opportunities in their own branches, to enable their thesis studies, to carry out their experiments, and to continue their activities as a facility where they can implement individual production phases or visually activate them.
Also; it is aimed to provide research opportunities for our country to be able to produce flour products without external dependence by presenting to the consumers the taste of traditional Turkish breads.
The most important detail about the facility is; all of the products produced are on campus at economical prices; BESAŞ SALES POINT, which  operated between 08:00-18:00 and built in closed cafeteria style, aims to support the healthy feeding of university students by presenting them to the consumption of students.
